Time Passages

Yesterday, appropriately for Labor Day, we spent the afternoon with my son in “Murvul”, helping him select paint for his future repainting project, and talking about various house and yard cleanup plans and timelines.  It’s too soon to tell what he’ll end up doing, but in the meantime there’s plenty of work to keep him here in the area for a while yet.

All around us, nature itself is on the verge of transitioning, though a hotter than average end of summer will be with us a while longer.  Just like nature, human nature must be dynamic and always progressing and changing, or it will stagnate and die.  I try to accept this, and help it along, not try to stand in its way.  All I can do is treasure the present moments I’m privileged to enjoy.

Some late summer scenes…
